About Me
I was born in San Diego, California, and lived in Yokohama, Arizona, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Singapore, where I spent most of my childhood.
Growing up in different countries taught me to appreciate different cultures and to value wherever I live as home.
My mother is Japanese and my father is German. I speak English and Japanese fluently.
I currently live in Hachioji, Tokyo.
I completed a Master's degree in TESOL and am currently pursuing an MBA. Scholarships covered my tuition, allowing me to graduate without student debt.
Outside of school, my biggest hobby is strength training, and I've been lifting weights consistently for over 11 years.

Why I Became a Donor
I've always loved children.
I previously volunteered teaching English to children in the Philippines and Japan, which strengthened my desire to one day have children of my own.
My previous partners wanted marriage but not children. Becoming a parent has always been one of my dreams.
Although I haven't started my own family yet, I realized I could still help others build theirs.
Helping recipients become parents has become one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Staying Connected
Several of the families stay in touch and occasionally meet. I also keep in contact with many of them.
Depending on each family's preference, I'm simply Uncle Sam, a family friend, or the child's biological father.
One of my favorite memories was a cherry blossom gathering with two of the families and their children. Watching the children grow and seeing the families support one another has been one of the most memorable parts of this journey.
